[To visit the memorial Stone to Sir Robert Hunter, cross ford and turn immediately left onto footpath on opposite side of the lake from car park. Memorial stone is a few metres along path on L.]

Walk from car park entrance on metalled Waggoner's Well Road towards (but not crossing) ford.  About 50m before ford, turn R through gap in hedge and enter bridleway (sp).  Turn L immediately off main path (N) and, passing over ridge, follow indistinct footpath R along water's edge, contouring round N side of Hunter's Moon Hill on gradually clearer path.  Pass ponds on L and eventually continue ahead on footpath along watercourse, passing through car barrier onto vehicle track at electricity sub-station.  Leave National Trust property and reach footpath junction.

Continue ahead (SE) on vehicle track to further path junction.  Turn L (sp) onto narrow bridleway and, emerging shortly onto concreted vehicle track Stoney Bottom, turn L and climb steeply past houses to junction with unmade Hill Road.  Turn L on Hill Road into Grayshott.  The Fox and Pelican pub car park is on Headley Road (B3002) straight ahead across village centre road junction to R.  There is a further (public) car park between the junction and the pub with a toilet block. There is also a bus stop here (#23 bus to Haslemere and Haslemere station).
